A Wedding Day.
There is something truly magical about weddings, often difficult to explain, but I will try to explain. The emotion that surrounds every little detail in the wedding, the joy of seeing everything take shape and the love that fills the air are an unforgettable and inexplicable experience, not only for the bride and groom but for me as a makeup artist too. For me, working with brides on their wedding day is more than just a job, it goes far beyond just doing a client's makeup or hair. It feels like I am part of something bigger, something deeply meaningful: helping a dream come true, the dream of the long-awaited and desired wedding, the perfect party down to the smallest detail, creating the perfect moments that will forever be recorded in the memory of the bride, the groom and everyone present on that special day, all those who in some way were part of that special day, like me, the makeup artist. Yes, each bride is saved in my memory, with her unique style, her desires, and her dreams that become mine. Every bride has a vision in her mind of what her dream wedding day will be like. Every detail has been dreamed of by her, often for many years. From the dress she has always imagined wearing to the way she imagines the moment she walks down the aisle with the music she has dreamed of, it all comes down to creating the perfect day. Every detail counts and is extremely important.
What is so special about working with brides is the emotional journey that comes with it. There is an energy that surrounds a bride during the days leading up to her wedding day, from the first meeting between the bride and her makeup artist, the preview of the makeup, and the long-awaited day, with a mix of feelings such as nervous excitement, anticipation and, above all, the desire for everything to be perfect, just as she has always dreamed. It is an honor to be part of one of the most important days of her life, and doing everything to make this dream come true becomes my mission.
Seeing everything come together on her wedding day is a feeling like no other, a sense of accomplishment, the relief of seeing everything going as planned and an inexplicable joy in knowing that I am part of the realization of a day that this bride has long awaited and dreamed of. From the moment the bride puts on her dress, to the first glance with her partner on the way down the aisle, to the quiet moments of reflection before the ceremony, it is a privilege to witness the magic that happens during this day. It's like being part of a dream come true and knowing that the little details you worked so hard on are making her day as beautiful as she always imagined and dreamed of.
Weddings are full of moments that will be remembered forever, by the bride and groom and everyone present who was a part of it in some way. The laughter, the tears of happiness, the joy of seeing two people united in true and genuine love, these are the memories that last a lifetime and that I make sure to keep in my memory too. As someone who works with brides, it is incredibly rewarding to know that you were a part of creating these moments and were there to help create the day they dreamed of and help everything go as planned.
It’s not just about the dress, the makeup, the hair, the decorations, or the cake, it’s about creating an experience that will live in the bride’s heart forever. From helping her get ready to being there when she says her vows, it’s about ensuring that the memories she creates on that day will be cherished for years to come.
For me, working with brides is a constant reminder of the beauty that exists in seeing dreams come true, and it's not about my dreams, but about someone else's dreams, which end up becoming a little bit mine too, because all I want most is to be able to see my clients' dreams come true. The wedding day is the culmination of so much planning, excitement and hope for the future, the future that was dreamed of so much one day. When I'm there to help make that dream come true, my only goal is to give my best, it's an experience that is simply impossible to explain. It's a chance to be part of something extremely meaningful and special.
Weddings are very important to me. For me, it's one of the most important decisions we make in our lives. That's why marriage is so important to me, and having the opportunity to work with brides becomes surreal because it's so special to me.
There is nothing like knowing that your hard work, time and dedication, which you put into studying and preparing to serve, played a role in making a bride’s dream wedding a reality and helped her feel as special as she truly is. It is not just a job, it is an opportunity to create something unforgettable for you and above all, something that will stay in a bride’s heart forever. Seeing the smile and the look of emotion on the bride’s face when she sees herself ready for the first time on this special day is the best part of my job.
At the end of the day, working with brides is not just about the details of the makeup, the reception, the dress, the hair, or the decorations; it is about the privilege of helping a dream come true and creating a day that the memories will last a lifetime.
